A catalyst for businesses, government agencies, universities, schools, students, and individuals to find and generate leaders aligned with three pillars essential to the viability of our rural communities.
Empowering Rural Communities
Our mission is to help empower rural communities to become models for sustainable living by providing access to education, information and hands-on learning opportunities focused on these pillars.
Our Vision and Values
Our vision is to inspire vibrant rural communities now and in the future through our values of innovation, engagement, respect and accountability.
Launched in the summer of 2017 and refined in further years, NNEEC is providing opportunities for employment, and educating young leaders, while providing an active, educational and fun day program that includes activities such as swimming, canoeing, arts & crafts, sports and games for children ages six to fourteen.
"The Near North Innovation Symposium, Climate Change: Are We Ready?" was held on September 27 and 28, at the NNEEC. The purpose was to discuss the impact of Climate Change and adaptation strategies within rural communities in Canada, with a focus on the Parry Sound Region in Ontario.
